Byze

The coin behind Byze. What it is for, where its money comes from, and what we will and will not promise about it.

What it is

A coin on Solana. It has one job, which is to let the people using Byze share in whether it does well. It is not needed to use any part of the service. You can send and receive payments, and claim a name, without ever touching it.

Where its money comes from

Names beyond your first cost 0.1 SOL each. We intend to spend half of what those payments raise buying the coin back and removing it from circulation, and the other half on running the service.

Say that plainly: this is a policy we follow, not something the contract can enforce. A buyback of this kind happens by hand, and anything done by hand can slow down or stop. If it stops, we will say so on this page rather than let it quietly disappear.

What we do not promise

  • No price. Nothing here is a promise that the coin goes up. It can lose all of its value, and coins like this often do.
  • No yield and no dividends. Holding it does not pay you anything. Its only support is the buyback described above.
  • No fixed supply guarantee beyond what the chain shows. Anything we ever do to the supply will be visible to anyone watching the mint, so check it rather than taking our word.
  • Nothing here is investment advice. Decide with your own money, and only as much of it as you can comfortably lose.

Its fees, and the service fee

These are two different things. Payments through Byze carry a 1% fee, taken in the same currency you pay in, and the coin has no part in that fee. Any trading fee belongs to wherever you trade, and not to us.
